Solo travel completely changed my life. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me become more independent, and honestly shaped the person I am today. There’s something incredibly empowering about booking a trip alone, navigating a new city by yourself, and realizing you’re capable of so much more than you thought.
I truly believe everyone should solo travel at least once in their life.
Whether you’re looking for beautiful cafés, vibrant cities, beach escapes, incredible food, or destinations where it’s easy to meet other travelers, these are some of the best solo travel destinations for 2026 , especially for women traveling alone, first time solo travelers, creatives, and anyone craving adventure and personal growth.

Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in Europe for solo travel because it feels both peaceful and social at the same time. The city is incredibly walkable, easy to navigate, and full of beautiful canals, cozy cafés, museums, flower markets, and charming neighborhoods.
One of the best things about Amsterdam for solo travelers is how easy it is to simply wander without a strict itinerary. Some of my favorite moments there have honestly just been biking along the canals, sitting at cafés for hours, or getting lost in the Jordaan neighborhood with my camera.
It’s also one of the safer European cities for solo female travelers, which makes it ideal if you’re planning your first solo trip abroad.
