Credit: Escapade Music Festival

When:  July 26-28, 2026

Where: Ottawa, Canada

https://www.escapademf.com/

Escapade Music Festival—has grown into one of Canada’s biggest electronic music festivals, and its 15th anniversary is shaping up to be a massive celebration. Held in Ottawa, it brings together a diverse lineup across four distinct stages: the main stage for big headliners, a bass stage for heavier drops, a trance stage for melodic journeys, and the Dreambox stage, which is especially exciting because it spotlights local and emerging talent. It’s the kind of setup that lets you explore different sounds all in one weekend, whether you’re into house, trap, or harder bass genres.

Personally, I love festivals that give equal attention to both global stars and up-and-coming artists, and Escapade really seems to nail that balance.  If I were there, I’d probably spend half my time stage-hopping just to catch a bit of everything, and the other half discovering new artists at Dreambox. It feels like one of those festivals where you walk away with a bunch of new favorite DJs.

12) Bass Coast Festival

Bass Coast Festival is a thoughtfully curated boutique music and art festival.

Bass Coast Festival is one of those rare events that feels more like an immersive art experience than just a music festival. It’s a fully independent, artist-run gathering that blends electronic music with large-scale art installations, workshops, and interactive experiences. Set in the stunning Nicola Valley near Merritt, the natural surroundings are a huge part of what makes it so special—think river swims by day and dancing under the stars at night.

What really stands out to me is how intentional everything about Bass Coast feels. It’s proudly DIY, run by women, and completely free of corporate sponsorships, which gives it a super authentic, community-driven vibe.

Living in Seattle, I’ve got a ton of friends who go every single year—and almost all of them say it’s their absolute favorite festival. From what I’ve heard (and seen), it’s not just about the lineup—it’s the people, the creativity, and that feeling of being totally present in nature that keeps everyone coming back.
